A new Web site launched today, LegalOut, to provide access to legal documents designed to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. LegalOut differs from other legal document sites, according to today’s announcement, in that its materials “reflect the specific concerns and needs of the LGBT community and are designed to protect their rights.” Available documents relate to estate planning, living wills, domestic partnerships, financial and healthcare powers of attorney, co-parenting agreements, and other topics.

LegalOut was created by Lindalisa Severo, an Atlanta entrepreneur, and operates on a platform powered by Rocket Lawyer, a company that provides online legal documents for consumers. Access to documents in LegalOut is sold on a subscription basis. The first document is free, after which users can choose either a monthly subscription of $19.95 or an annual subscription of $119.95. A separate membership option for professionals of $295.95 allows multiple users and additional sharing and collaboration features. All subscription levels allow unlimited access to the legal documents.

LegalOut is also on Facebook and Twitter.
